A minha semana foi boa..

... e a vossa? :)
Por aqui o tempo está mau, dias cinzentos e muita chuva hoje =/
(já podem contar que as minhas fotos não estão com a melhor luz)
De resto, toda a semana correu bem :)

Finalmente, chegou a minha encomenda de lãs para feltar..



.. mais cores para fazer bonecas e fadinhas :D

Chegaram também as molduras, que encomendei de Lisboa, para os meus ratinhos :)



Este fim-de-semana já serão colocadas na parede :D E perguntam vocês: 'qual parede? onde vais colocar?' Eu respondo: ... surpreeeesa para o próximo post ;) LOL

Consegui finalmente limpar a minha caixa de correio, tenho os emails todos em dia! uhuuuuuuu! Desculpem a demora, tinha alguns emails bem atrasados (*vergonha*) mas sempre respondo a todos, por vezes a falta de tempo não colabora mas eu chego lá ;) Sabe bem voltar a sentir tudo organizado :D

Depois de ter finalizado todas aquelas peças no último fim-de-semana, estou a bordar 'A Stitch in Time' a passinhos de caracol heheheh Aos pouquinhos mas vai andando ;) O primeiro ratinho já quer aparecer..



Agora temos fim-de-semana prolongado com noite de halloween pelo meio, aproveitem e divirtam-se bastante!!! :D

My week was so good, how was yours? :)
Around here we can feel the winter weather, gray days and heavy rain =/
(now you know the reason for today's bad pictures...)
Besides that, the whole week went well :)

Finally, I received my wools for needle felting, more colors to make dolls and fairies :D Also, the frames that I ordered from Lisbon, for my three mice :) They will be going to the wall this weekend! And you ask: 'Which wall? Where are you going to place them? " I answer... surpriseeee, I'll tell on the next post ;) LOL

I cleared my mailbox! Yes, it's true! uhuuuuuuu! Sorry for the delay, I was really late on replying emails (*shame*) but I always write to everyone, sometimes the lack of time doesn't help but I get there :)
It feels good to have all organized again :D

Once I have completed all those pieces in the last weekend, I'm stitching 'A Stitch in Time'.. and I'm taking my time! LOL Snail steps, bit by bit but it's going ;)

Now we have a long weekend ahead, with Halloween in between, enjoy and have lots of fun! :D

o fim dos wips :p

Finalmente um fim-de-semana sem trabalho, só diversão :D Tempo 100% livre para mim e para a minha 'to-do' lista... que nunca é pequena :p hehehe Resultado? Várias fotos para partilhar convosco :)

Terminei o meu Pink SAL, a contribuição para o projecto da DMC. Bordado terminado, embalado e já seguiu por correio esta manhã :)



Alguma de vocês participou neste SAL? Ou noutras campanhas para o Outubro Rosa? Deixem-me links, terei todo o gosto em conhecer mais projectos e colaborar também ;)

Finalizei o enfeite de Natal, da Lizzie Kate:



E, ainda na fila dos wips, finalizei o meu outro bordado da Lizzie Kate. Tinha pensado fazer uma botinha de Natal, ou um set de cartas, mas o tecido (ou a falta dele Lol) não deu! Quando comecei a bordar, fi-lo sem ter nada em mente, apenas porque gostei do gráfico. Para estas duas ideias, precisava de mais margem de linho.. fica a lição para a próxima ;)

Costurei um saquinho para presente :D



Agora sim, tudo pronto!!! uhuuuuu :D
De volta ao meu ritmo normal e apenas com um bordado em mãos, que quero completar logo, os ratinhos da Margaret Sherry :)

100% free time to me and my 'to-do' list ... which is never short :p hehehe Result? A few photos to share with you today :)

I finished my Pink SAL, the contribution for DMC's project. It's finished, packed and already sent by mail this morning :)
Did any of you participated in this SAL? Or in any other campaigns for Pink October? Leave me some links, I will be happy to know more projects and also collaborate to them ;)

I finished my ornament, 'Dear Santa I Want It All', by Lizzie Kate.
Also, my other LK, 'Dear Santa Can Explain' :) I thought of making a Christmas stocking, or a letter set, but the fabric (or lack Lol) didn't help! When I started stitching this one, I didn't had anything in mind, I just liked the chart. So, for these two ideas, I needed more margin of linen.. lesson learnt for the next ;)
I ended up sewing a string bag that I'll use as a Christmas gift package :D

All my wips are done! uhuuuuu :D
Back to my normal pace and with only one stitching in hands, Margaret Sherry's mice, that I'm anxious to get back to :)

craft room III

A semana passou a correr, não sei como já é quinta-feira! Não tenho nada de crafts para vos mostrar ainda por isso fica a continuação do meu craft room que, como vocês já sabem, é um processo em desenvolvimento ;)

A minha estante já conhecem, agora tem apenas mais um set de frasquinhos para as fitas e cordões e também mais um frasquinho para os botões :)



Juntinho, um puff para sentar perto das revistas quando quiser procurar algo ;)



A mesa está montada mas ainda não está preparada a 100%. Metade das gavetas estão arrumadas (falta a outra metade) mas as caixas antigas que tinha já desapareceram quase todas!



Na mesa, a máquina de costura é essencial :D e está estratégicamente colocada de modo a que só seja preciso puxá-la para a frente quando a quiser utilizar ;) Também a base de corte tem lugar central e tudo o resto se vai compondo, ainda tenho muito espaço. Preciso me sentar por lá umas horinhas para sentir o que será útil e prático para ter sobre a mesa de trabalho ;)

Próximo na minha lista de compras: tapete.


The week is running, I don't know how it's already Thursday! I don't have any crafts to show you yet so I'm posting about my craft room, as you know, it's a work in progress ;)

You've already seen my shelfs, I bought one more set of jars for ribbons and also one more jar for buttons :) But what I really like here, is my new pouf! I can sit next to my magazines when I want to look for something ;)

The desk is ready but not to 100% yet. Half of the drawers are filled and my old boxes almost disappeared! The sewing machine is essential :) and it's strategically placed so that I only have to pull it forward when I want to use it :) Also my cutting mat has a central place and everything else goes with time, I still have plenty of space. I need to sit there for a few hours to feel what is useful and practical to have on my desk ;)

Next on my shopping list: rug.

Quem é que já começou a semana a desejar que o fim-de-semana chegasse logo? Bom, a minha segunda-feira foi assim, a sonhar com a sexta :p

O meu fim-de-semana foi curto, tive de trabalhar num projecto que quero acabar logo (daí há que aproveitar para adiantar) e não consegui fazer metade do que planeei.. isto é, não fiz 501 das 1002 coisas que sempre quero fazer num só dia :p heheheh

Mas estes últimos dias também tiveram algumas surpresas boas :) Entre elas o pacotinho que recebi da Lainey que fez o meu dia de ontem brilhar :D



Uma revista que eu adoro e de onde pegarei muitas ideias para este natal ;) Um monte de meadas para completar a minha colecção, tantas, tantas, tantas!! E a acompanhar, bonitas imagens da Escócia que eu não conhecia! :)
Lainey, obrigada pelo carinho, fizeste-me sorrir muito!! :D

Who has started the week wishing the weekend would come soon? Well, my Monday was like that, dreaming with Friday :p

My weekend was short, I had to work on a project that I want to finish soon (extra time to actually make that happen) so I couldn't do half of what I planned.. 501 of 1002 things that I always want to do in a single day :p lol

But these last few days also had some good surprises :) Among them, the package I got on my mail box, from Lainey, that made my day shine :D

A magazine that I love and from where I sure will pick up many ideas for this Christmas ;) A lot of DMC threads to complete my collection, many, many, many! And beautiful pictures of Scotland that I looked for the first time :)
Lainey, thank you sweetheart, you really made me smile! :D

bom fim-de-semana :)

Na semana passada falei-vos de várias coisas que estava a fazer em simultâneo. Não é meu costume começar uma coisa e deixar outra por terminar mas, por diferentes motivos, não resisti à tentação de as começar heheheh Foi um momento de rebeldia :p Lollada!! Claro que a minha veia da organização tem uma força maior e chega a hora de pegar numa ponta e começar a terminar as coisas ;)

Concluí o bordado da Lizzie Kate e tenho uma ideia para o finalizar :) Tarefa para o fim-de-semana ;)



Em linha de produção está a minha contribuição para o Pink SAL da DMC, que vou tentar terminar este fim-de-semana. Ainda tenho tempo para enviar mas não quero deixar para o fim do prazo. Em espera fica o bordado 'A Stitch in Time' mas na próxima semana já o devo retomar :)

Sobre o meu post anterior, ainda vou responder a todas as mensagens mas desde já obrigada por todas as vossas palavras :) Respondendo a algumas dúvidas, a caixa comprei-a já com recorte, não foi preciso cortar nada. Apenas apliquei entretela no verso do bordado e voilá! :) Podem encontrar este tipo de caixas em papel machê ou mesmo em madeira, em lojas com artigos de pintura e/ou découpage ;)

Last week I told you about several things that I was doing simultaneously. It's not my habit to start something and leave it before ending another, but for different reasons, I couldn't resist the temptation to start them heheheh It was my moment of rebellion :p LOL Well, my organization vein has a majeure force, it's time to get my act together and make some finishes ;)

First, my LK is done and I already have an idea to finish it :D Task for the weekend ;)

Next, in production line is my contribution to the DMC's Pink SAL, I'll try to finish it this weekend. I still have until 15th November to send but there's no need to wait for the deadline. Waiting is 'A Stitch in Time', I hope I'll be stitching it again next week :)

About my previous post, I will reply to every message but thanks for all your kind words :) Answering some questions, I bought the box with the opening, no need to cut a thing ;) I just apllied an iron interfacing on the back and voilá! You can find this kind of box in paper mache or even wood, in a store that sells painting and/or découpage supplies.

à la 'speedy gonzalez'

Costumam dizer que sou rápida, não é? Pois desta vez saiu uma peça pronta em tempo recorde mesmo! Tão rápido que até me lembrei do Speedy Gonzalez :D Lol!



Um gatinho da Margaret Sherry que caiu direitinho numa caixinha de papel machê que eu já tinha em casa, no meu stock de découpage :) Mesmo quando o tempo é pouco, num instante se faz uma coisinha útil e fofa ;)



Everyone usually says that I'm a fast stitcher, right?
Well, this time I really made something in record time! So fast that it reminded me of Speedy Gonzalez :D Lol!

I stitched a cute kitten, by Margaret Sherry, it was the perfect size to fit a paper mache box that I had at home in my decoupage stock :) Even when time is short, we can easily make something useful and cute ;)

Enquanto estava encravada na espera que vos contei no post da semana passada, fui bordando mais um esquema de Natal da Lizzie Kate. Sem destino marcado, apenas gostei do gráfico e comecei! Já estava pertinho do fim :)



Até que na quinta-feira passada chegou o linho que encomendei online!!! uhuuuuuuu :D O meu primeiro linho 32ct Belfast da Zweigart! E deixem que vos diga, fiquei bastante contente com a SewAlong, simpatia nas resposta e entrega em uma semana, excelente serviço! Aconselho ;)

Não resisti e tive de re-começar a bordar o gráfico 'A Stitch in Time' :D



Acho que vocês ainda se recordam que abandonei este bordado em Julho passado, na altura não estava a gostar nada-mesmo-nada do tecido em que estava a bordar. Embora vocês não concordassem comigo! LOL :p Mas vendo a peça na mão é completamente diferente de ver na foto. Agora sim, estou extremamente satisfeita com o que estou a fazer :D

Bom, estou a fazer 3 bordados e ainda não terminei o meu craft room.. contem com várias novidades pelos próximos dias ;)

I can do everything.. but I can't stand still ;) Lol!

While I was stuck in the waiting that I told you last week, I started stitching another LK Christmas pattern. I was close to end it but then..
.. on Thursday I received the linen that I ordered online! uhuuuuuuu :D My first 32ct Belfast! And let me tell you, I was quite happy with SewAlong, sympathy in reply and delivery in a week, excellent service ;)

Of course I couldn't resist, I had to start stitching 'A Stitch in Time' :D
I think you still remember that I abandoned this in July, at the time I was unhappy-really-unhappy with the fabric that I was stitching. Although you didn't agree with me! LOL :p But seeing the piece in our hand is completely different than seeing in the picture. Now it's ok, I'm extremely pleased with what I'm doing :D

Well, I'm stitching 3 different things, I haven't finished my craft room.. you can count with severeal news here in the upcoming days ;)
A new week is starting, time to get to work! Have a great week!!! :D

Hoje trago uma palavra de incentivo para vocês, bordar por uma causa! :)
Quem já colaborou em projectos de solidariedade com os seus bordados?
Eu participo bastante nessas actividades e dão-me imenso prazer! Neste Outubro rosa não há excepção ;)

Colaborei no Pumpkin Patch & Co Breast Fund com um enfeite de Natal que será leiloado, os fundos irão ajudar na Investigação sobre o Cancro da Mama.

Este é o mês internacional de Prevenção do Cancro da Mama, por isso, meninas é hora de lembrar algumas precauções que podem fazer a diferença ;)


Once a day / Once a week / Once a month

Em Portugal, a Laço tem como missão a promoção do diagnóstico precoce do cancro da mama, através da sensibilização e do apoio ao programa de rastreio móvel da Liga Portuguesa Contra o Cancro. Aqui ficam algumas recomendações desta Associação:

Tome Conta de Si
* Faça exercício regularmente!
* Mantenha um peso saudável e uma dieta variada, rica em frutos e vegetais.
* Beba com moderação e não fume.
* Conheça o seu peito e aprenda o que é normal, ou anormal, no seu caso.
* Sempre que notar alguma anomalia, consulte o seu médico.
* Visite o seu médico, para um exame clínico dos seios uma vez por ano.

Como fazer o auto-exame da mama?
No Duche: Levante o braço esquerdo. Com as pontas dos dedos centrais da mão direita pressione suave, mas firmemente o peito esquerdo. Formando círculos à volta do peito, comece no ponto mais distante do mamilo e repita até chegar ao mamilo. Na mesma posição e exercendo um pouco mais de pressão, palpe a axila esquerda para se certificar que não tem nenhum caroço. Repita esta operação no peito direito, invertendo as posições.
Ao Espelho: Observe os peitos com os braços caídos. Depois coloque as mãos na cintura, inclinando os ombros e cotovelos para a frente. Em seguida ponha as mãos na nuca, pressionando-as ligeiramente. Nestas três posições procure eventuais alterações de cor, tamanho e textura que lhe possam parecer novas ou estranhas.
Deitada: Com uma almofada debaixo do ombro esquerdo estenda o braço esquerdo por debaixo da cabeça.
Palpe o peito esquerdo com a mão direita, seguindo as instruções descritas no 1º passo, não esquecendo a axila. Pressione o mamilo entre os dedos indicador e polegar para detectar se existe secreção. Depois levante o mamilo em conjunto com a auréola para verificar se há mobilidade ou aderência. Faça o mesmo para o peito direito, invertendo as posições.

October is the International Breast Cancer Prevention month, so girls, it's time to remember a few precautions that can make a difference ;)

In Portugal, Laço's mission is to promote early diagnosis of breast cancer through awareness and support for mobile screening program of the Portuguese League Against Cancer. Here are some recommendations of this Association:

Take Care of Yourself
* Exercise regularly!
* Maintain a healthy weight and a varied diet rich in fruits and vegetables.
* Drink in moderation and do not smoke.
* Know your breast and learn what is normal, or abnormal, in your case.
* Whenever you notice any abnormalities, consult your doctor.
* Visit your doctor for a clinical breast exam once a year

I also wrote about how to make a self examination, not worth translating, for sure you can find better explanations on the web... in better English than my translation ;) Lol
